experience and a WHOLE LOT of personality to work in a creative, exciting classroom
environment teaching our very popular “Wine” Down with Art Classes! Qualified instructors must be able to guide classes of up to 30-40 people to paint an acrylic painting in two to three hours. Townsend Building Supply-Yard/Warehouse Position

Role Description:

The role of this position is to meet the needs of our customers while delivering “first in
class” customer service. Employees in this position will fill and load orders in a safe
manner while being courteous and professional at all times. This position will require
the use of a forklift. Forklift operators will be well trained and follow all the rules and
regulations set forth by OSHA and Townsend Building Supply.

 

Dimensions:

This position is housed at the Townsend facility in Troy, AL and reports to the
yard supervisor. It requires close cooperation and interaction with other store
employees, with all yard personnel, and with customers. Estimated travel for this
position is 5%.
This position will require 8 hours per day Monday thru Saturday for a total of 40-45
hours per week. When necessary, the warehouse manager may at his discretion require
additional hours if business conditions warrant.

 

Nature of the Position:

This position is responsible for:
1. Loading and unloading customer vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
2. Daily operation of forklifts for loading and unloading of stock and stock
replenishment.
3. Facility maintenance as necessary.
4. Participating in the loading of all goods in the yard in preparation for
customer delivery.
5. Positive interaction with employees & customers
6. Assist with Delivery and Pick up on job sites as necessary.
7. Heavy lifting – manual labor required
8. Completion and maintenance of proper loading documents.

Overall Functions:

Performs various maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community. Handles repairs and improvements of vacant apartments for a market ready status. Childcare Provider - St. Luke UMC

1. Overview:

• Work schedule: This is a part-time position. The work schedule is in accordance with SLUMC Policies & Procedures for Employment.

2. Location: St. Luke United Methodist Church. 201 Heath St., Enterprise Alabama. Office Phone (334) 347-9023. 

3. Duties and Responsibilities: 
Summary: Childcare Provider will be required to work with and care for children of all ages from infant through preschool during Sunday morning programs, Wednesday nights, and special events. In addition this person must be willing to serve children with special needs. This person will also be required to interact with parents, volunteers and other St. Luke Staff in a positive and uplifting manner. This person must be sensitive to the needs of others and show respect to those around them. Above all, the childcare provider should support the mission of St. Luke’s ministry to lead children to know and serve Jesus.

• Help ensure a safe environment for children.
• Teach children and infants age appropriate faith development and biblical lessons. 
• Help children engage and participate in ministry activities.
• Be alert for children with indicated special needs, allergies and medical needs.
• Oversee the secure check-out process.
• Assist in taking children to restroom when needed.
• Take children outside on the playground and supervise them to ensure safety.
• Provide care for infants and toddlers including feeding, rocking, diaper changes
and using developmentally appropriate play activities.
• Alert Minister of Christian Education of any disciplinary, behavior or safety
• concerns.
• Ensure the completion of clean up and putting away at the end of services or
after an event.
• Sunday morning services require you to be in the children’s area 30 minutes prior
to the first service. Most special events require the same.
• Other Duties as assigned by Minister of Christian Education, Pastor, or SPRC.
4. Requirements:
• Good communication skill. 
• Works well with others. 
• Able to receive instruction and direction. 


5. Conditions of Employment:
• A minimum age of 20 to comply with Safe Sanctuaries Policy.
• Profess Christianity and actively participates in the life of the Church.
• Must be able to pick up children.
• Demonstrate a lifestyle that becomes the Gospel.
• Satisfactory pass a background check.
• Successful completion of Safe Sanctuary training.
• Read SLUMC Policies and Procedures, and sign statement agreeing to all policies, terms and conditions set forth in the SLUMC Policies and Procedures.
6. Qualifications:
• Prior Experience with working with infants and children.
• Reference of previous work experience.

Youth Enrichment Services Program - Program Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION
 

Academic tutor to provide individual and group instruction in GED exam/online high school diploma preparation and employability soft skills to out-of-school youth ages 16-24. Must be computer literate and math proficient. Will assist in assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of each participant to modify individual plans and goals as each student progresses through the program. Will assist in data collection and reporting. Must provide regular reports on progress and needs identified for each participant and complete daily case notes. Tutor may be expected to attend special events such as day trips and workshops. Position available in Enterprise, Alabama, Monday through Thursday, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, flexibility is required to accommodate number of students and to attend trainings or other program activities. Must have the ability to manage a classroom situation and have a willingness to work with youth who have barriers to attaining an education and a job. Program is funded on a year-to-year basis. Work is approximately 15 hours per week.
