ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

 

TOURISM COMMITTEE

 

Role & Purpose:  

Responsible for developing and executing programs necessary to attract tourists to the Enterprise area.  Promoting Enterprise and Coffee County attractions and parks.  Communicating city-wide events and maintaining a community calendar.

 

Meeting Information:

The Tourism Committee meets  2:00 PM every 3rd Thursday of the month at
the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

 

RETIREE COMMITTEE

 

Role & Purpose:  

Responsible for developing, communicating and executing programs that will attract retirees to the Enterprise area. Identify attractions in the area that appeal to retirees and seek out potential retiree attractions. And working with the community to support existing retiree attractions that may need improvement.  This committee is also responsible for organizing the annual Getting to Know Enterprise Retiree Fair and Picnic.

 

Meeting Information:

The Retiree Committee meets 7:45 am every 4th Tuesday of the month at
the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

 

BUSINESS & WORKFORCE COMMITTEE

 

Role & Purpose:

Responsible for defining and creating local solutions that bridge the gap between employers who need workers, providers of workforce services and workers who need job and advancement.  This committee is also responsible for organizing the annual Business Development Week and Expo.

 

Meeting Information:

The Business & Workforce Committee meets 8:30 AM every 1st Wednesday of the month at
the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

 

 

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

HEALTH CARE COMMITTEE

Role & Purpose:  

Plan and support a Health Fair in conjunction with Health Care Day in partnership with Medical Center Enterprise and Enterprise Nursing Home.  Work to ensure that citizens of Enterprise have access to adequate medical services of the highest quality achievable with available resources and in line with current applicable regulations.

Meeting Information:

The Health and Retirement Committee is seasonal and meets 1:00 pm every
2nd Thursday of the month at the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

CITIZEN INTERACTION COMMITTEE

Role & Purpose:  

Responsible for developing and maintaining an open atmosphere for discussion between majority and minority race within the City of Enterprise, promoting the Ray of Hope program, and the Code of Values throughout the City and County.

Meeting Information:

The Citizen Interaction Committee meets 12:00 pm every 1st Tuesday of the
month at the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

CHRISTMAS PARADE COMMITTEE

Role & Purpose:  

Planning, organizing and executing an Enterprise Christmas Parade to promote the City of Enterprise and provide a wholesome environment for families to celebrate the holidays.

Meeting Information:

The Christmas Parade Committee is seasonal meets 5:00 pm every 2nd
Thursday of the month at the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

COMMUNITY & SPECIAL PROJECTS COMMITTEE

Role & Purpose:  

Develops and supports a planned action that will enhance programs that will attract the public attendance to our area, along with helping to assist, promote, help and aid in special projects that benefit the community.  Promoting the National Peanut Festival by entering a City float.  Supporting and promoting the Enterprise Little Miss, Jr. Miss, Future Little Miss, Pre-Teen Miss, and Miss Enterprise Pageants along with Man and Woman of the Year. 

Meeting Information:

The Community and Special Projects Committee meets at the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

 

 

AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE

 

Role & Purpose:  

This is a goodwill committee formed of business men and women to help maintain and strengthen Chamber relations with area businesses.  Ambassadors serve as liaisons, conveying information and news to members and prospective members as needed by Chamber.  They serve to make contacts for the Chamber to better Chamber relations, Encourage Chamber Membership and attract new members and Promote Chamber visibility at all Chamber functions. Ambassadors also serve as a face of the Chamber and represent the Chamber at Chamber events to increase visibility.

 

Meeting Information:

The Ambassadors Committee meets 12:00 pm every 4th Thursday of
the month at the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

ANNUAL BANQUET COMMITTEE

 

Role & Purpose:  

Responsible for planning annual banquet meeting of the membership honoring the outgoing Board members and saluting the membership on its accomplishments. 

 

Meeting Information:

The Annual Banquet Committee Committee is seasonal meets at
the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PUBLIC AFFAIRS COUNCIL

 

MILITARY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

 

Role & Purpose:  

Promotes a sense of “goodwill”  between the civilian community and all elements of the Armed Services at Fort Rucker and the surrounding area.  This committee tries to foster and promote a lasting impression of hospitality among active duty, reserve components, retired military personnel, their spouses, and dependents.

 

Meeting Information:

The Military Affairs Committee meets  8:00 am every 4th Wednesday of the month at
the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

EDUCATION & TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE

 

Role & Purpose:  

This committee strives to ensure liaison between the business and academic community is in order to provide the best possible education/technology for the youth and adults of Enterprise and assist in career planning goals.

 

Meeting Information:

The Education/Technology Committee meets  1:30 pm every 3rd Tuesday of the month at
the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

 

Role & Purpose:  

This committee works towards obtaining a greater voice in national, state, and local government affairs for the Enterprise area by analyzing and interpreting legislation and informing the membership of its effect.  Encouraging membership to become involved as individuals and express their views to their political salons on issues that affect the community.

 

Meeting Information:

The Legislative Committee meets  8:00 am every 2nd Tuesday of the month at
the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

AGRICULTURE & AGRIBUSINESS COMMITTEE

 

Role & Purpose:  

This committee supports and promotes agriculture and agribusiness within Coffee County.  Works to support and promote a better understanding of the interdependence between our urban and agricultural communities.  Also, recognizes farming and agribusiness in Coffee County for the outstanding Contributions to the community through their economic contributions and their ability to serve America and other parts of the world.

 

Meeting Information:

The Agriculture/Agribusiness Committee meets 9:00 am every 2nd Friday of the month at
