2009 Parade Grand Marshal Lee Ann Smith carries the colors of the Emerald Isle down College Street
The World’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set to take over the street, at least one block of East College.
The annual event takes place at high noon on St Patrick’s Day, March 17th. And if you want to see it, you better not be late, because it won’t last long. The parade route is one block: from the Courthouse to the Boll Weevil Monument and back. Total elapsed time: about 10 minutes.
The parade has been featured on national news outlets such as CBS Sunday Morning, and National Public Radio. The event has received international coverage as far away as Ireland.
Who will be this year’s Grand Marshal? You’ll just have to be there to find out!
