Retiree Fair A Great Way to Get To Know Enterprise

Enterprise, Al, July 10, 2008-The Retiree Committee of The Enterprise Chamber of Commerce announces the “Getting To Know Enterprise” Retiree Fair, August 8th from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Enterprise Civic Center on Crawford Avenue. 

Newcomers to Enterprise, retirees and those planning to retire in the area are invited to attend and find out why Enterprise is one of the nation’s best places to retire.  Approximately 20 organizations will be providing Information on recreation, medical facilities, churches, financial planning, real estate and more.  There is no charge for admission with free refreshments and entertainment provided. Door prizes will be given away throughout the event.  

Ft Rucker brings a significant number of military residents to Enterprise, with many returning after their military careers are finished.  Many “Baby Boomers” will be retiring in the coming years.  The Retiree Committee of the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce is working to attract them to Enterprise.  With a low cost of living, low property tax and excellent quality of life, Enterprise is becoming a popular choice with many retirees. 

Enterprise is a “Retiree Model City”, and is rated in the “Top 25 Best Places to Retire” by Consumer Digest magazine.  Enterprise has also been featured in Where To Retire magazine.  Coffee County has been named one of the “Top 10 Places to Live in Rural America” by Progressive Farmer  Magazine.
